they are both equally good, i think atenolol is a bit older though. they may have different mechanisms of action but im not definitely sure. I take propranalol myself and it works wonders. i rarely get migraines anymore, my resting pulse is usually around 50-60 and my bp usually stays around 110/70 area. im 20 y/o male just for more info

I take Bisoprolol and personally I think it works better than Atenolol. It has less side effects but is equally effective when compared to Atenolol.
