Is having hypertension bad when playing tennis?

i’ve been playing tennis for about 12 yrs.and stopped..then i have plans of playing again for exercise.. I haent played for the past 13 yrs.and i want to go play again. but i have hypertension.
My hypertension is due to hormonal imbalance..that is when i start to get headache my blood pressure goes up. Im 41 yrs old. Any suggetion?

If you can avoid over-exerting yourself, then it should be fine for exercise.

tennis is easier than it was because the racquets are lighter and easier to handle.
make sure that whoever you play with doesn’t mind if you have to rest after a couple of games. Don’t be persuaded to carry on if you feel tired or get a headache.
I pace myself (with my bad knees), if my friend plays a shot too far from me, I just say “good shot” and we play the next point.
