Not a silly question at all. Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against blood vessel walls. The heart pumps blood into the arteries (blood vessels), which carry the blood throughout the body. When your blood pressure is high it is the force of the blood pushing against the vessel walls that can cause the headache because it makes the heart work harder to pump blood to the body.

Headaches are a common symptom of Hypertension. As the blood courses through the veins at high pressure it hurts and throbs. Don’t miss you medicine. You don’t want that pressure on your bloodvessels.
