I switched from one medicine that caused me to itch everywhere, to one that causes “cobwebs” in my mouth. Yet again I switched to the one I am on right now. The accompanying literature says to maintain good oral hygiene. Well, I do. But am just worried that this means it might cause bad breath.

I can not think of any that cause bad breath if you practice good care. It sounds like perhaps a angiostensin hypertensive that works in the kidneys. Those are good medications but along with some other types of hypertensives a side effect is dry mouth, which can cause bad breath without proper care.
