    It is a positive feedback loop as one gets worse the end result increases and increase and continues to magnify the problem according to your model.

    atherosclerosis is plaque build up in the heart vessels and can cause an increase in pressure in the vessels and a decrease in blood flow. since hypertension is high blood pressure it is bad to cause an increase in pressure due to other mechanisms.
