What natural medicine, worked for you, to relive Hypertension?
July 8th, 2008 | by Pressurized |I am currently taking Toperal. It is causing major side effects (sleeplessness, heartburn, fuzziness).
I want an Herbal cure. I take my BP every night. My average is 145/80. Before Toperal it was really bad (170/90).
I am in good shape physically. I walk about 5 miles a day.
I’m having major issues with trusting my health to those whom have a versted interest in me being sick. Those who have such an interest are doctors.

I am not in good shape and walk up lots of hills and stairs lately which has helped lower my bp. My bp is out of control and I have used aspirin which thins the blood- but too much isn’t good. Herbally I use lavendar oil which is calming. But mostly it helps to avoid as much sodium as possible which is difficult because everything has it in it. Sometimes herbal isn’t the way to go if you have dangerously high blood pressure. Mine ranged from 210/140 now I am on enlapril 10 mg which causes dizziness if you stand up to quickly and sometimes makes me tired. If anything else, avoid alcohol and other stimulants as it spikes your bp. All I know is enlapril has worked for me, it is an ace inhibitor and used with lavendar oil mine is down to 140/90. hope it helps

Ask your doctor about other medications for blood pressure. If you play with herbal concoctions your health will be at risk. Don’t be foolish

I use Aqua-Rite for my high BP condition. I slowly decreased my medication while I started to take this natural product and in less than 3 months I was able to use only the natural product. I highly recommend it. Check the following source :

garlic pills help lower high b/p.
After three months and watching my diet my b/p went from 140/80 to 120 /70.
I jogged a mile every other day and walked the other days.

It’s good that you are taking your medication and walking. Keep up with what you are doing until you discuss this with your doctor.
And my major recommendation to you: Talk with your doctor about the side effects you are experiencing with your current medication. He may change your medication completely or lower the dosage. Once you start to take a high blood pressure medication, it is not wise to suddenly stop or make some change in your regimen unless you get the go-ahead from your doctor.
Talk to him about possible herbal remedies that are safe, but for right now, keep up on your meds.
It takes a while to get the right kind of medication and the correct dosage when you first begin to treat hypertension.
Are you smoking? Stop it. Are you over-drinking? Control that. Also watch your salt intake.
Are you doing something (like a hobby or sport) that you really enjoy doing? Is there something like that you have now given up but would like to take up again? That too might help you to control your blood pressure naturally.
Good luck now. I know you and your doctor together will find something that will help you control your blood pressure.
