Speak to your doctor & in the meantime, never just stop taking high blood pressure meds. Many people have hypertension due to being overweight or because it’s hereditary. Without taking meds, you could have a stroke, heart attack, etc.

The first thing my doctor told me was to cut back on salt and caffiene. Weight is a big factor too. I still have to take my meds. but the dose has been decreased greatly. It is not very often that blood pressure disorders can go away totally.

try eating salads made with dark leafy greens daily and exercise daily to the point that you work up a sweat..
then lower your salt intake, keep fats down to only omegas

The biggest thing is life style change.
Cut out Salt
If your over weight you need to diet to loose the weight.
Excises
Reduce stress (easier said than done)
If you smoke stop (easier said than done)
In a nut shell lead a healthy life. Do NOT discontinue your Medication without consulting your doctor. And on your next visit tell him you want to make changes so you don’t have to be on High Blood pressure medication for the rest of your life. Some people have no chance of it, no matter how healthy of a life style they lead and it’s actually the medication that is keeping their BP in normal limits. Hypertension is attributed to heredity.

Try a Yahoo search for “high blood pressure” + “natural remedies”.

Hi babana
Hypertension/high blood pressure is one of the conditions that can be helped or resolved by getting adequate Vitamin D.
In North America you only get enough Vitamin D from the sun about 3 months of the year, and most people have been scared out of the sun, so supplements are recommended.
Experts recommend from about 1000 IU to 4000 IU of D3/day with the optimal tested level between 75-100nmol/L.
Find a health food store near you and ask for Vitamin D3. It’s inexpensive.
Good luck!
