I have hypertension as well, and I know your pain. Normally, I would not advise anyone to drink, but alcohol is small amounts will help you relax and distract you from the pain.

You could consult your doctor and get a prescription for xanax. It will relieve the symptoms. Good luck!

If you have hypertension, you can talk to your doctor about taking a beta blocker. This can help relieve heart palpitations.
I hope you feel better soon.
